Airline Review: SPRING JAPAN domestic flights

Introduction

Here is a boarding review of SPRING JAPAN!!

This airline is an average budget airline, like AirAsia, Ryanair, and easyJet.

Check-in

You need to check in 35 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
SPRING JAPAN doesn't have web check-in system, so you have to use the kiosk check-in to print your own boarding pass at the airport. The kiosk check-in accepts English language, so you can check in easily with your confirmation number.

If you'd like to check baggage, you should check in at the desk or go to the desk after checking in by the kiosk check-in.

The desk of Narita Airport is at Terminal 2. SPRING JAPAN's website is only Japanese language, but most of staff can speak English! I hope..

Flight

The boarding gate closes 25 minutes before departure, so you should be at the gate as soon as you can. If you fly from Narita Airport, you will get a bus to your  craft.

All crafts are new and B737-800.

The seats are also normal budget seat type.

Your seat will be automatically arranged when you don't make advanced seat reservation.

If you are too large for a standard seat, you should make seat reservation.
The 6-15 row of  the right side is a good-sized seat. The cost is 200 JPY via Internet, and 500 JPY at the airport desk.


Cabin crew can speak English, so you can also enjoy in-flight sales.
The menu is shown below.

Coffee and green tea with free-flowing drinks are 100 JPY.　
The menu will be handed out by cabin crew when in-flight sales starts. It is written in Japanese, but there are pictures. If you can't understand the menu, you should ask them.

Summary

I think it is difficult for foreigners to book flight, but once you get checked in, you won't have any inconvenience. Because SPRING AIRLINE offers average service as other budget airlines.
SPRING AIRLINE is now operating the following routes; Hiroshima(広島), Saga(佐賀) and Takamtasu（高松）. So you can go that cities cheaper and faster than using Shinkansen bullet trains. Also, there is the sale irregularly but SPRING AIRLINE announces only in Japanese.
